Goveshy - The Art Party Conference (Bob & Roberta Smith & Crescent Arts)
Goveshy was created for the Art Party Conference in 2013, an alternative political party conference with some of the biggest names in British Art attending. The conference campaigned for inclusion of art subjects within the school curriculum. Goveshy featured clay busts of Michael Gove (secretary of state for education) made from an in-kind donation of Wedgwood clay. These were smashed to reinforce the damage removing art from education was having on the longstanding heritage of craft in the UK
