Porcelain trinket boxes with idividual measurements of 6cm x 11.5cm x 11.5cm
Installation detail, Fragile Mines signs were placed around the edges of the installation space.
Taking the Fragile installation further, these Landmine Trinket Boxes intend to explore and challenge our associations and expectations of shapes and forms. With the change in material to delicate porcelain and with the pleasing familiar floral imagery, the viewer believes the form to be something other than its original design and function intends. I am interested in reactions caused when preconceptions change.
