Body Sculptures - 'There is a crack in everything. That is how the light gets in II - L.Cohen'
Each piece in this series starts with a cast of my body, which I later shape in porcelain. For these pieces, I worked with black and natural porcelain, layering and firing them several times to achieve a crackled surface. The pieces are fired at 1250°C with a transparent glaze, and to finish, the cracked areas are hand-painted with gold enamel and lustre.
