Balance - Collect 2021

Balance takes its inspiration from the time spent at the beach with my young family after months of lockdown & staying indoors. In many cultures the meditative act of balancing & assembling rocks has been a practice for centuries, giving time & space to interact with the world around and within them. A combination of layered paper transformed into layered, balanced stones takes its inspiration from my maternal ancestral home in Ireland and the famous Irish stone walls surrounding it.
