MOMOKA GOMI is a Japanese textile artist based in Nottingham. Fascinated by weaving, she sees this slow, evolving process as a reflection of life, where each thread shapes its character. Inspired by memory, she finds beauty in decay, working with denim as a symbol of time’s passage. Using bleach and sandpaper, she replicates natural erosion, giving the fabric a sense of history. Her textiles transform into wall art and heirloom-quality wearable pieces, carrying stories of time and craftsmanship
