Leather Tapestry Weaving
Our aim is to disrupt the perception of this familiar material, through the transformation of its character. The hide is embroidered with a pattern of autumn hedgerow vegetation, a knife is then used to cut the leather pieces into straps for hand weaving. Slashing the perfect embroidery brings spontaneity, texture and deconstruction to the disassembled motifs.
