One large scale contemporary basket woven with organically grown willows and a smaller scale piece. This style enhances the curves of the basket. I enjoy weaving fine coloured willows on large scale pieces, the beautiful border was invented by Polish basketmaker Stanislaw Dziubak just 20 years ago. I have enjoyed experimenting with this technique by increasing side stakes, working large scale and adding colour to give a painterly finish.
Boulder Form 6 is created using organically grown willow. The form is inspired by rock formations which have been naturally eroded by the elements over millions of years. The willow travels across the surface of the form traveling in the direction of the wind, rain and sea
