Aspex Gallery
Visit Aspex Gallery and enjoy this 'Family Saturdays' special inspired by Sne Tak's Soft Vessels, from 1-3pm on Saturday 30 October.
In this workshop, we will explore a range of materials used by artists and makers in contemporary craft and make our own vessels to take home and house our favourite things.
A relaxed session will take place from 1-3pm, with more focus on process, enjoyment and the sensory qualities of materials, which families with children with SEN/D may find more comfortable.
About Aspex Portsmouth
Aspex Portsmouth supports emerging artists, reveals the creative process, and engages new audiences with visual art. We achieve this by delivering an exciting and varied programme of exhibitions at our building in Gunwharf Quays and running off-site projects and participation events. Our aim is to make the creation and enjoyment of art a more inclusive activity.
For the last forty years, we have supported sensational artists at the early stages of their careers. Artists such as Mona Hatoum, Richard Wilson and Susan Collis, all now internationally acclaimed, received support from Aspex.
Today, we continue to offer the next generation of contemporary visual artists a platform from which to launch their careers.
