Dip Folds

Creating texture from the interaction of two surfaces – Dipping and immersing a firm surface into liquid. The Dip Fold series is an evolution of the Fold portfolio of work where clay spheres are partially immersed in slip, achieving a smooth, satin-like coating. Multiple layers build subtle contour lines of texture. Careful attention is given to the separation of surfaces, where the final touchpoint is manipulated to form a concentrated peak—capturing a suspended moment in time.
