Hello I'm Florence. I specialise in sandcasting, I like to celebrate that no two are the same by highlighting the tide line formed by the two halves of the mould. To me, this organic line echoes the rugged Dorset coastline where I grew up, and now the rocky escarpments of the wild Peak District. I also cast stones in place. These must withstand the molten metal's heat and be captured as it cools, giving them their unique character, as if revealed by erosion or discovered like a fossil in stone.

I predominantly work with synthetic stones which in some regards are considered more sustainable. I also work predominately with recycled metal and fair trade gold. Items are made to last a lifetime and beyond.
