Location
Crafts Council Office and Gallery is based on the Pentonville Road in Islington, London, with some hybrid / home working.
Salary
£43,500 gross per annum based on full-time working

Our Senior Salesforce Manager and project teams including Membership, Learning and Participation and Collect, and digital suppliers
About the Role
At a time of rapid digital change, we want our online presence to feel welcoming, accessible and imaginative; a place where audiences can discover, connect and enjoy craft.
As Senior Website and Digital Manager you will lead the development, performance and user experience of our digital platforms. You will ensure our website, digital tools and online journeys are effective, accessible and aligned with our organisational priorities; from membership recruitment to craft education, exhibitions, commercial hires, advocacy and sector support.
This role combines digital expertise with leadership of our content function. You will oversee a small, skilled team delivering high-quality digital content, newsletters and social media outputs, ensuring coherence across all channels.
You will work closely with our Senior Salesforce Manager to ensure digital decisions are grounded in evidence and support our organisational ambitions for audience reach, engagement and conversion.
Core Accountabilities
Website Performance & Optimisation
- Own the performance, accessibility, usability and optimisation of Crafts Council’s website.
- Ensure clear, effective user journeys that support priority outcomes: membership growth, Craft School engagement, event bookings, gallery hires, maker discovery and sector insight.
- Lead SEO strategy and oversee search performance.
Digital Roadmap & Technical Oversight
- Manage the website roadmap, CMS governance and relationships with digital agencies.
- Oversee upgrades, new features, integrations and digital developments aligned with business needs.
- Oversee our membership, events and donations platform (Beacon).
- Maintain platform security, stability and compliance.
Content Pipeline & Editorial Leadership
- Lead the planning and coordination of digital content across website, email and social media.
- Manage team members to ensure storytelling is coherent, timely and aligned with brand tone.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusive design across all digital content.
Analytics, Insight & Continuous Improvement
- Translate digital data into actionable improvements to user journeys, content and campaign execution.
- Collaborate with the Senior Salesforce Manager to align dashboards, KPIs and reporting cycles.
- Champion a test-and-learn culture across digital channels.
Team & Resource Management
- Manage and develop a high-performing digital and content team.
- Oversee departmental budgets for digital development, content tools and freelance support.
- Support wider colleagues to confidently use digital platforms.
