My work involves a critical and playful response to conventions in contemporary & traditional furniture. My practice is ideologically set against the vapid commodification that we find ourselves drowning in.
I want to make furniture that never goes out of fashion & lasts for generations.

I rail against the throw away culture we find ourselves in. I generally use sustainably sourced British hardwood timber, otherwise I use non-endangered timbers. My furniture is assembled with hide glue and fish glues. Not only do they smell lovely, they're environmentally friendly and their archival attributes are second to none. My furniture is built to last and through the use of natural adhesives is repairable. My furniture comes with a provenance document detailing the processes above.
