Working with ethically sourced local wood, I create sculptural vessels and bowls that embrace natural imperfections and the philosophy of Wabi-Sabi. Each piece is hand-turned, allowing the wood’s unique character—knots, spalting, cracks, and warping—to shape the final form. My practice balances traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary sculptural sensibility, offering one-of-a-kind works rooted in sustainability and respect for material.

Sculptural vessels and bowls in locally sourced wood, rooted in sustainability and respect for material
My work is rooted in a love of trees, nature, and the materials I use. I work exclusively with locally sourced, never-imported timber—often felled for disease control or woodland management—and give it new life. I never use petrochemical resins and plastics, using only natural, non-toxic finishes. Offcuts become small works or fuel, shavings are composted, and packaging is fully recycled. Each piece is made for longevity and a gentle return to nature.
